#2 POI - The Rink @ Jcube

Its another great time with my seniors. This year, we decided to end out 2012 outing @ Jcube Ice Skating. I have been to Jcube Ice Skating for 3 times last year with different group of people. It will never be fun to go without friends accompany.

Just in case that you're not a follower on my twitter or instagram, I have my last skates @ Jcube with Santa. (Not real Santa, obviously). Jcube has many events that they will have a theme or a promotions for their customers. (Sound interesting right??)

They have Disco Night on Ice, School Trial Ice-Skating Session (where students get to enjoy a 2-hour ice-skating session for free!), New Year's Eve Disco Night (Countdown to 2013), Skate with Santa (which I went with my seniors), Disco Night & Countdown with Santarina (Countdown to Christmas) and they do also celebrate Children's Day!

Check out Santa's boots!

Is The Rink only safe for teens and adult only??

NO! The Rink has Penguin Skating Aids which has been proven to help you gain confidence.
Penguin rental - $10 for 2 hours.
Available for kids below 1.2m in height and below 10 years old.
So means I can't rent lor. Saw a few penguins "parking" at the entrance so I look one and skates around that area, they are quite stable and safe. I took a quick photo with it and from it you will realized why is the penguin aids available for kids below 1.2m lor. hahas.
Cute anot??
For newbies and none of your friends know how to skates, there is this session called the Introductory Walk-in Lessons. Its $26.75 for 15mins (Exclusive of admission & rental of skate boots). I did't try it but if you have tried do tell me if its good and gain more confidence as they will be teaching you basics of ice-skating and important safety rules!

Rates!

There are other lessons and corporate booking available too!

Lastly, do you hold a PAssion Card?

From 2Jan - 15Mar this year, when you purchase 2 admission tickets, you will get 50% off  2nd admission price. Sound interesting?

#1 POI - Wild Wild Wet

Hey guys I am back for what I have promised in my previous post. Sorry that its was a bit late as I am sick (recovering) and busy with school. Finally, I am able to take a time off to blog on my 1st Place of Interest in December 2012.

Remember that I have blog that I had planned a short gathering with 4 of my Secondary School friends to go to Wild Wild Wet (WWW) but to my dismay it was a failed gathering. [If you wanna read more on why we didn't went and where else I went in replace with that, click on this link - http://www.nuffnangx.com/l/fkZt22B?c=no]

This round, the tickets were extended till end of 2012 :D (hehe) So I went there with my bf and bro. On the way there, I met my bf friends and they have the tickets too but its different which they can only choose on one (WWW, Orchard Bowl or smth luh). Since nobody wants to go and the expiring is drawing closer, I decided to give them (just nice two). Good right? but sorry to bore you guys.

It looks not much different but the toilet changed a lot! To me, toilet in the public pool is always wet and also hard to shower and even no hot water (coz I love showering with warm water). Let's the pictures talk to you, okay?

Where lockers and sun blocked lotion available.
While waiting for the guys to put the stuff in the lockers
Grp photo (bf friends not included)

Wanna get your back message?? Look at what that man  is doing there!
@ Professors's Playground
When you hear the bell ans see people running in one direction, join them!!
@ Professors's Playground
Usually people will choose to sit down, like the one shown in the picture (L)

Took it while waiting for the rain to stopped @  Shiok River
New Cafe replacement of Pizza Hut and KFC, i think. Left side is photo booth

You can place your clothes in the cabinet and close the "window" of it and below it is where you put your showering gels and it won't get wet either when you are showering. I think this is the best part after renovation!
Only 2 hot shower
No hot shower

So that's all people. I didn't managed to take much as its raining when we reached there.

Pictures on the way there....

There is how dark the sky is that day.

Ukulele Christmas Tree - Scan the QR Code to win!  I got  2 bottle of coke , bro and bf got  vouchers. [My Rant: My bf vouchers were $10 yogurt. Since it can only spent at Downtown East and that day we went home quite late so we didn't spent it. A few days ago my non-identical twin was going for her class chalet, so I asked my bf if want to give her anot. She said she wan. I gave her and she didn't says thank you (okay can!) but then she always complains that people is not doing so is rude (so is she rude to his younger sis?) But its the past already, but seriously hate the convo (she and my bf), dam unreasonable, long story :-'( ]
#Failed 1. Wanted to create a fake snowing Singapore scene.

Jurong East Swimming Complex

Since I have 5 tickets for Wild Wild Wet (WWW), I have planned a short gathering with my 4 awesome friends. What happen was when I saw this poster in their website the day before we are going there :
Yup. They have closed for renovation. This mean my 5 tickets were wasted. I was hoping for a change tickets so that I could invite my friends and enjoy the new facilities with me. We were all so disappointed with it. Moreover, one of my friend was sick. #okaycan. Ended up we decided to cancel it.#sad

What else can I do on that sunny day??
My boyfriend decided that we should make a trip down with my brother to Jurong East Swimming Complex. It was my first time there and I like it very much. It can be said that it is similar to WWW but this is a mini version as it does not have everything that WWW has. They have wave pool, lazy river, water slides, jacuzzi and kiddy fun station pool just like WWW! What's attracting me was their toilets, entrance ticket and also the admission fee.

Let's talk about their admission fee. Its super cheap and I told my boyfriend that I have to make a trip down again before I turn 18 with my awesome friends! Because....

*Children - below 18 years old*
Hahas. Yup, I paid $0.80 for my admission ticket to enjoy their facilities, even if I need to pay $1.50, its still so worth it! hahas.
3 Entrance Tickets
Entrance Tickets! Interesting?? Its a Tap 'n' Splash Card. It works like how you enter the MRT at the entrance. You can purchase the Tap 'n' Splash Card (photo) or use your Ez-Link card to tap in and out of the swimming complex. Amazing right!? (P/S didn't have the time to take photo of how the entrance works)

Just a reminder, if you wanna play the blue and pink slides do rent your float boat before going to the lockers. 1 Float cost you $5 ($3 deposit) and you can enjoy it for 2hours. Hope you wont be like us as we wasted $0.40 because we rent the lockers to put our stuff first and then decide if we want to rent the float. ( Depending on the size of your locker, the rent is different. For $0.40 you can put up to 2 bags)

What do you do after a swim?

Obviously is to visit the toilet to get yourself wash up right? They have awesome cubicles. I had never seen toilets in the swimming pool that have this compartment. Simply put your dry belonging there and I can asure you that your belongings will not get wet! Sad to say, for the cubicle that I went into does not have a hook there but only at the door but for my brother and boyfriend, they have it. This makes 2 hooks in a cubicle. Nice hor?

Basically, I enjoyed myself there very much with my awesome boyfriend and brother. Ending off with some photos that we took before we went to wash up :P (PS all photos is taken at night)

Photographer: My brother

I hope you will enjoy your trip there like us despite that we did not try out the wave pool as its was closed for washing. :)
